Answers for all your asked...and unasked...questions: 1.) Are you an accredited university? No, Atlantic Learning Centers is not currently an accredited institution of higher learning. We are working towards accreditation with the Distance Education and Training Council which is a process of several years. 2.) Will these courses give me a certification or license? The courses taught at Atlantic Learning Centers are for professional enrichment and education only and do not confer a certification or licensure. 3.) Will I obtain a certificate upon course completion? Yes, ALC provides each graduating student a Certificate of Course Completion. Certain students may also obtain certificates for excellence and other awards depending upon their achievement and commitment during the course. 4.) How long does it take to the complete the course? It depends upon your commitment. There is no set schedule for completing assignments. ALC instructors understand that many individuals opt for online learning due to busy schedules and therefore do not impose restrictions of due dates on their students. The courses are completely work at your own pace. Many instructors do ask that students complete the course within 12 to 18 months, however. These rules will be made available in your course syllabus upon enrollment. 5.) Do I need to buy textbooks? No, all required materials will be provided to you either online or by an email attachment from your instructor. Instructors may suggest additional learning aids or materials they feel beneficial to your learning but these are in no way required to complete the course. 6.) Refund Policy. We understand that online learning is not for everyone. ALC provides the ability to obtain a refund for any course registered for within 48 hours of the registration period. You may not have accessed any of the course content or received any materials to be eligible for a refund. 7.) Group Discounts. For companies wishing to enroll greater than three students a group discount may be offered. The discount percentage will depend upon the number of students enrolling. Simply click on the link for your chosen course under our Courses page and follow the prompts through the payment screen. Once our business office has processed your information (within 48-72 hours after payment has been made) you will be emailed your course link and instructions for accessing the information!
